zConnect receives error message CWWKO0801E when trying to establish an SSL connection under Top Secret

Issue/Introduction

Receiving the following error message:

ERROR   ¨ CWWKO0801E: Unable to initialize SSL connection. Unauthorized access was denied or security settings have expired.

When trying to establish an SSL connection with zConnect.

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Resolution

1. User needs a TSS PERMIT(acid)  IBMFAC(IRR.DIGTCERT) ACC(CONTROL).

2. The personal certificate on the keyring needs USAGE(PERSONAL).

3. zConnect application needs to be configured to use SSL.

4. If the personal certificate will be used by multiple acids ownership should be moved to CERTSITE.
