Issue/Introduction

Why, in a system where the z/OS Health Checker service is NOT active, do the CV Health Checker initialized messages appear?

Resolution

IDMS interfaces with Common Services and will initialize itself even if HZSPROC (Health Checker) is not running on that z/OS machine. IDMS is not dependent on the IBM Health Checker job running. It depends on CCS interface modules being installed on the appropriate LPAR so it can initialize. Nothing will report because HZSPROC is not running.
