Issue/Introduction

We received a request from a customer, is there any possibility to monitor the ORACLE ZFS monitoring. Is there any probe to monitor.

Component : UIM - CDM WITH IOSTAT

Resolution

Please refer to the Tech Docs regarding what is monitored by cdm for Oracle Solaris Zones and ZFS monitoring which is just zfs file systems but not Oracle ZFS storage arrays.

Oracle ZFS is a storage appliance hence would not be monitored using the oracle probe.

 

AN OOTB monitoring solution for Oracle ZFS is not currently on the UIM roadmap and therefore not currently supported nor tested.

 

But this appliance has a well published RESTful API hence customer can leverage DX UIM RESTMON probe to create a custom monitoring solution.
