How do I clear out old volume information?

Issue/Introduction

Like to clear out old DSN information from volumes that have not been used for several years.

 

Environment

Release : 12.6/14.0

Component : CA TLMS Tape Management

Resolution

You can clear out the old DSN/Volume information via a UPV command using the CATINQR proc. The command is:

UPV volser,CLEAR

This will erase the old volume data from the volume record.
