How to specify a different Page size in the AFP to PCL Transformers?

 

 

Environment

This article applies to the CA Spool C Transformers. It does not apply to the CA Spool Java Transformers.

Resolution

The parameter PageSize determines the page size command that is sent to the printer.

Valid Values:

  A3  Com10      Letter

  A4  DL         Monarch

  A5  Executive  WIDEA4

  B5  Ledger

  C5  Legal

If a specified page size value is followed by /M and the input file form number specifies a valid page size it is used as the actual page size for the transformation.

WIDEA4 is the same as A4 except that a '@PJL SET WIDEA4=YES' command is placed first in the PCL output file.

If a specified page size value is followed by /M and the input file form number specifies a valid page size it is used as the actual page size for the transformation. Form numbers that will override the PageSize value are as follows:

  A3  COM1    LETT

  A4  DL      MONA

  A5  EXEC    WIDEA4

  B5  LEDG

  C5  LEGA

Example: PageSize = A4/M
