UIM 20.1
We notice that from one moment to another the Catalyst connector has started to dump memory. The Catalyst has the connector for UIM and SNMP implemented

UIM Connector 3.9.00, build 3.9.2.1
When the UIM connector starts, the CA_00050_<hostname>_item.log are showing
EIIntercepter: Transform Request = Error while converting DataObject to String
This is occurring for every CIs as will as Alerts.
This is causing the UIM connector to Memory Dumps and show error
"GC overhead limit exceeded
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded" in the UIM connector log.
In your env, you are using an older UIM connector which was not support UIM 20.1
Recommendation:
Use the latest Catalyst Container 3.4.4 and UIM Connector 3.9.3 which is certified for UIM 20.1 and 20.3

NOTE: We ran the following to try to cleanup the cache for UIM connector
1) Stop the CA Catalyst Container CatalystConnector service
2) Delete all files in \Catalyst\CatalystConnector\container\nls-store\
3) Delete all files in \Catalyst\CatalystConnector\container\registry-cache\
4) Delete \Catalyst\CatalystConnector\container\data\Core\<hostname>_CA_00050-AlarmCache.ub
5) Delete all files in \CA\Catalyst\CatalystConnector\jsw\bin\activemq-data\localhost\KahaDB\
6) Start the CA Catalyst Container CatalystConnector service
