Issue/Introduction

When we are in Cabi and try to schedule a report the report never send emails and the report status stuck in "EXECUTING"

Resolution

1 - Verify the js.quartz.properties file has all the correct data about the SMTP server and Cabi
The file located on at C:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft\probes\service\wasp\webapps\cabijs\WEB-INF
Follow KB 203516 

2 - Verify there is an outbound rule for SMTP on the CABI server
- RDP to the CABI server.
- Open the Windows PowerShell then type wf

a new window will open for the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security

- On the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security> select Outbound Rules

- Check if there is a rule that exists for SMTP TCP (25 by default)

if there is no such rule then follow the below steps:

  1. On the top right select New Rule
  2. Then select Port for the type of the rule
  3. Then select TCP and port 25
  4. Then Allow the connection
  5. Then make sure the rule applies to Domain and Private. Public connection is optional.
  6. Name the rule as SMTP rule then finish
  7. try to run the report again.
