How to hide a device in the Inventory tab?

Issue/Introduction

Is managing OC groups with devices for each user applicable for Inventory as well?

For example,  define permission for user "A" to see only devices in group "A". After logging in with user "A" on groups tab only devices under groups "A" will be visible. But the Inventory is showing all the devices under entire groups in the environment.

Component : UNIFIED INFRASTRUCTURE MGMT

Cause

For any account related to the same origin, there is no restriction to display in Inventory. All the devices related to that same origin will be displayed.

 

Resolution

This is an expected behavior. There is no restriction to display devices in the Inventory when the devices are associated with/belong to the same origin.
