Jasper FTPS Schedule SSL error

Issue/Introduction
Running Jasper 7.2.0
Unable to setup a FTPS schedule because of we get :
2021-06-30 14:51:37,210 ERROR SecureExceptionHandlerImpl,https-openssl-nio-8443-exec-7:116 - Unrecognized SSL message, plaintext connection?
2021-06-30 14:59:16,818 ERROR GenericExceptionMapper,https-openssl-nio-8443-exec-1:69 - Unexpected error occurs
From the same Jasper server we are able to start the FTPS connection using a third party FTP client.
Environment
Release : 17.1 and higher
Component : JASPERSOFT REPORTS FOR SERVICE MANAGEMENT
Resolution
changed the FTP site to accept SSL connection on port 990 instead of 21 and now it works
