Error 1068: DLP Services will not start on Enforce Server

Issue/Introduction

Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Enforce

Services on the Enforce server will not start. 
Attempts to manually start the services throws this error: 

Rebooting the server does not clear this error.

Resolution

There is a known issue with windows server 2012 and VMWare - local drives are being seen as "removable", and not "static". 
When the system sees the drive as removable, it won't access it. 
Edit the .vmx file to set the disk as "static", then reboot and the drives become accessible again.
