Performance Management View configuration does not show the expected Metric Families

Issue/Introduction

DX NetOps Performance Management web UI Portal View configuration is missing metrics to select. The Metric Families sought to select Metrics from are not available. We only see the Interface Metric Family.

We use an IM On-Demand/Multi-Metric Trend Report view to build the dashboard. However, only the Interface metric is available.

 

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Performance Management releases

Cause

The Items set on the View Configuration drive what Metric Families are presented.

Resolution

The Metric Families, and their related Metrics, available to select in that report config UI are driven by the items selected for the config.

For example, if I set it to only specific Interfaces, or a Group that only contains Interfaces, only the Interface Metric Family is going to be available for selection.

If I set the config to use the default "All Groups" for all devices/items, I get many different Metric Families to browse for Metric selection.
