Average rate calculation for resource requisitions

Issue/Introduction

Could you please assist me with the detail on how the average rate is calculated for the resource requisition?

We are merging 2 environments and since XOG is not updating average rate we need to know how it is calculated.

We do have the below segments for the resource requisition:

2/1/2021 – 2/28/20221 : 7.5%

3/1/2021 – 4/30/2021 : 23.81%

5/1/2021 – 5/31/2021 : 14.29%

When averaged for the above segments, it comes to 15.2 % whereas in the application it shows as 17.54%. Could you please clarify the calculation with above stated segment percentage?

Environment

Release : 15.9.2

Component : CA PPM XML OPEN GATEWAY (XOG)

Resolution

It takes the % for all days in the segments and then averages (weighted) those %.
