Autosys User Permissions for Installation

Issue/Introduction

 

To perform an AutoSys installation on Unix, log in as sudo or root user is required, But the root user or sudo doesn´t permitted in the company for hardening policies, It is possible to do this installation with a privileged user? Can you please send me a list of the required permissions and accesses?

Release : 12

Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Resolution

- Workload Automation AE must be installed as root user as it is strongly recommended.

- After installation 'autosys' user will run the Workload Automation. Other users could use 'unisrvcntr' command to stop/start.
