Context types are not changed in the DX Netops Portal when updating the DeviceTypes.xml

Issue/Introduction

The DeviceTypes.xml was updated and the device has changed from types Router, Server, Firewall to just Server on the Data Aggregator however in the Netops portal it still shows Router, Server, Firewall after a sync.

Release : 3.7, 20.2, 21.2.1

Cause

Defect DE508178

Resolution

Defect DE508178 has been submitted for this issue.

As a workaround, if the Types change in the Data Aggregator but not the DX Netops Portal, do a full sync of the Data Aggregator Data Source:

Administration
->Data Sources
-->Data Sources

Select the Data Aggregator.

Click Resync

Check "Perform a Full Resynchronization"

Click Resync

Once the sync completes (you would see the 'Last Polled On" time update after refreshing)

Note that this can take some time as noted in the warning you see when checking the box in the UI.
