DXIM (UIM) and PrintNightmare vulnerability CVE-2021-34527

Issue/Introduction

We are concerned about PrintNightmare, the recent print spooler vulnerability published by Microsoft, and would like to disable the Print Spooler Service on our systems.  Will this have any impact on UIM?

Environment

UIM - all versions

Resolution

This will not impact UIM.  It is safe to disable the Print Spooler Service as UIM does not use or rely on this service in any way.
