Issue/Introduction

We have renamed the UIM Db server name and the same also has been updated in the Nimsoftconnector.xml on the Nimsoft connector server, but still the Nimsoft connector is not coming Online, It is in Initializing state for long time.

Environment

Release : 4.2

Component : SOI Manager

Resolution

Customer was using the below link to configure the UIM connector with the new UIM DB info but he edited CA\Catalyst\CatalystConnector\connector-registry\topology\physical\<HOSTNAME>_CatalystConnector\modules\configuration\Nimsoftconnector.xml which is the backup location and the connector don't use files from the connector-registry locatiion.

We made the changes in the correct location, the UIM connector came online after restarting the Catalyst Container service.
