Can NetMaster provide historical traffic on OSA Interfaces? I am trying to look at the traffic on a link for at least a week but I am only able to see the traffic for the last hour. What is the command to see and extract this type of traffic?
Release : 12.2
Component : CA NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP
In the Netmaster region, issue
/OSA and select H - Performance History or OV - Performance Overview.
-> Use a '?' in the OSA Name field to get the list of devices to choose from.
-> There are multiple options for drilling down so you can view hourly/daily/weekly data.
Depending on the selection, PF12 may display a longer timeframe to choose from.
You can drill down in different attributes, depending on what you want to see.
Similarly you can issue
/PERF
-> under Devices and Links select OSA
-> Select a device
-> either view sample data for a specific qualifier or
select an RMF Chpid utilization attribute to see hourly/daily/weekly aggregation data
Overview of how Netmaster manages OSA information can be found in the Netmaster for TCP/IP User's Guide in the section on Managing Open Systems Adapters.
If you have a need to extract or print this type of traffic please contact support and reference this document.
