Does Applications Manager support the Oracle Instant Client?

Environment

Release : 8.x, 9.x

Cause

possibly missing oracle files/tools

Resolution

Applications Manager does support the usage of Oracle Instant client. Please note depending on Oracle's instant client configuration, many times the Oracle Instant Client does not include all the tools (sqlplus, sqlloader, etc) required by Applications Manager. Not including these tools will cause issues with Application Manager.

Therefore it is highly recommended to use Oracle's Full Client/Server installation to ensure all required tools are available.
