Does Applications Manager support the Oracle Instant Client?

Environment

Release : 8.x, 9.x

Component : APPLICATIONS MANAGER

Cause

possibly missing oracle files/tools

Resolution

Depending on Oracle's instant client installation configuration, many times the Oracle Instant Client does not include all the required tools (sqlplus, sqlloader, etc) required by Applications Manager.

It is highly recommended to use Oracle's Full Client/Server installation.
