New service is not showing APM alarms

Issue/Introduction

We have created some new services in the OI tenant. We  based the service definition on the agent name, e.g. name matches regex 'mtbcs\d+_prod'.  This is the same format we have used for some other services which do work correctly. The service topology correctly shows the APM agent:

But it does not show any alarms from the APM agent.  There is currently an open alarm:

Why the APM alarms are not associated to the service?

Resolution

The APM alert is from the APMIA EP Agent plugin. Presently, at this time OI does not support the EP Agent for APM and OI alerts/alarms integration as EP Agent does not create a TAS vertex. Due to this limitation, there will be no alarms association in OI for the alerts that we set on the EP Agent on APM side. This is the current design of the product.

There is an enhancement item opened to include this functionality.
