Can I delete a range of datasets from Dynam/T ?

Issue/Introduction

You have a number of temporary payroll Dynam/T datasets each with many generations created. You need to delete all generations except for the last 15. You are wonderng if there is a batch job or single command that can do this as you do not want to have type in DEL alongside each generation.

 

 

Resolution

You can delete a specific tape version via batch or online OR ALL the versions but not a range of versions. Range of datasets delete capability is not a feature.
