Issue/Introduction

Reporter "pcap" and Diagnostics archive files have to be copied to a local machine for analysis and troubleshooting.

Resolution

  1. Enable Reporter FTP server (article ID: 169375), connect via WinSCP (FTP connection) and create "ReporterLogs" folder.

  2. Upload already taken PCAP file thanks to:

    reporter# pcap transfer ftp://x.x.x.x/ReporterLogs/myNewPCAP.pcap myFTPusername

    Replace x.x.x.x with Reporter IP address:



  3. Create and upload to the Reporter FTP server a new Diagnostics archive executing:

    reporter# diagnostics service-info send-url ftp://x.x.x.x/ReporterLogs

    Replace x.x.x.x with Reporter IP address:



  4. Copy the files from Reporter FTP server "/ReporterLogs" directory to the local machine for analysis then upload them to "https://support.broadcom.com" technical support case if required:
