Issue/Introduction

CA Service Catalog servers will be assigned new IP addresses.  

Are there any other concerns to be aware of regarding CA Service Catalog with the new IP addresses?

Environment

CA Service Catalog 14.x and 17.x

All Supported Windows Operating Systems

Resolution

Normally, CA Service Catalog is installed using server hostnames and not IP addresses.

Check the following for any reference to a server IP address rather than hostname

• %USM_HOME%\config.properties
• %USM_HOME%\view\conf\server.xml
• CA Service Catalog settings via the UI in Administration -> Configuration
• usm_configuration  MDB table

In addition to a server restart when the IP address is changed, run ipconfig/flushdns on the servers whose IP address has changed.
