Issue/Introduction

After creating an AdHoc report in JasperReports Server, there are five (5) date formats presented by default for the Change Date Format Context menu

These formats are described in the webapps\jasperserver-pro\WEB-INF\bundles\adhoc_masks.properties configuration file.

How to append an additional Date format in the JasperSoft AdHoc Change Date Format Context menu?

Environment

JasperSoft 7.x / 8.x

All Supported Windows Operating Systems

Resolution

To add a desirable date format to the Change Date Format context menu:

1. Add the required date format to the webapps\jasperserver-pro\WEB-INF\bundles\adhoc_masks.properties configuration file.  For example yyyy-MM-dd

2.  Restart the JasperSoft service

3.  Clear web browser cache

4.  Now when accessing a JaperSoft Adhoc View, the newly added date format will be available in the Change Date Format Context menu

Note: For JasperReport 8.1.1 the following format does not work dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm format. This is caused by a defect and there is a fix for this problem. If you experience this issue, please submit a case and request for the fix.
