Issue/Introduction

Is it possible for Dynamic Capacity Intelligence (DCI) to read the CA OPS/MVS or the IBM TWS Scheduler calendar via some global variable in order to activate, on specific days of the week or at the end of the month, specific policies instead of the usual ones?

Resolution

There is no integration between DCI and CA OPS/MVS or IBM TWS.

However, OPS/MVS rules can be set up to activate/deactivate specific policies, based on specific conditions or simply based on day/time, using the MVS Modify command. Details can be found on "Manage Policy Actions with CONTROLR Commands" section of DCI 2.0 documentation.
