Removal of connector when changes are done on scoping config

Issue/Introduction

It was mention that if any changes are done on scoping config file on APM connector 3.6.4, we will need to remove the connector and add it again in the connector.
We would like to know the fall back plan for this activity.
Any ways to backup the current connector? This is to prevent situations when re-adding the connector back fails. 

Environment

SOI : 4.2

APM connector 3.6.4.

Resolution

When you remove any connector, all the data of that connector removed from SOI.

Once you restart the Catalyst/Integration Service again, connector again registers into SOI and pulls all the latest data.
