MsOffice embedded .bin files are getting blocked

Issue/Introduction

Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange(SMSMSE) is blocking MS office embedded .bin files from File executable file rules.

• Open the SMSMSE console
• Navigate to Policies -> Match Lists
• Double click the match list ** called 'Sample Executable File Names'

Cause

When we extract the .PPT or MS Office files under the sub-folders, it has oleObject1.....4.bin files.

Resolution

Checked '.bin' file type (embedded in ppt file) and found it is matching with '.msi' file type of KeyView/Verity library mappings.

The above image from SMSME console shows that 'Windows Installer Package (.msi')' file type is checked.
SMSMSE depends on KeyView/Verity mapping for TFT.

Uncheck the '.msi' file type from 'Executable File Rules'.
