Issue/Introduction

Error displayed when trying to capture an image: "the drive selected has no partitions to clone 11093" or "The drive is encrypted with Bitlocker"

Environment

Release : GSS 3.3 ( all versions)

Deployment Solutions ( all versions )

Cause

Drive is encrypted with Bitlocker:

Drive is set to RAID in BIOS

Resolution

1) Go to Control Panel > Bitlocker

2) Although it says that Bitlocker is not enabled, it is enabled (this is common on new systems).  However it does not have a password set.

   a) click on: enable Bitlocker and set a password.

   b) Once the drive is encrypted go back and disable Bitlocker to decrypt the drive

3) Optional: Go into BIOS and locate the drive configuration. Change the drive from RAID to AHCI.  (This step is not needed if you have a valid Storage Driver for the system being imaged.)

4) Proceed with the imaging process.

5) Optional: After imaging is complete go back into BIOS and change the drive from AHCI to RAID.  (If you changed this in step 4, change it back.)
