FEATURE REQUEST: Block the deletion of PGP Keys on Smartcards

Issue/Introduction

Symantec Encryption Desktop has the ability to manage PGP Keys on smartcards.  The ability to block the deletion of keys on smartcards is included if the client is managed by a server, however, the way it manages this is to block key management.  This means all keys will be blocked from being managed, so this can disable functionality if other key management is needed.

Therefore, this is a request to include the ability to block the deletion of PGP keys on smartcards and allow other key management to proceed.

Resolution

Symantec Enterprise Division is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. Technical Support filed a Feature Request to add the functionality listed above. This Feature Request is currently being considered by Symantec Enterprise Division to be addressed in a forthcoming version of the product.
