Unable to import 14.3 RU2 MAC Client package in the Manager.

Issue/Introduction

The following Error appears while importing the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP)14.3 RU2 Mac client package to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM), refer to below screenshots:

 Error: Failed to retrieve the build number of the package for the package list generation 

Environment

Release : 14.3 RU2 [14.3.4615.2000]

Cause

SEP 14.3 RU2 MAC Client package cannot be imported in SEPM. 

With the new feature introduced in SEP 14.3 RU2, "Client patch Support" Client packages will automatically get downloaded in SEPM.

Running LiveUpdate from a pre-14.3 RU2 SEPM (like 14.3.3385.1000) will not update the 14.3 RU2 package automatically.

Resolution

Upgrade SEPM to 14.3 RU2 and run LiveUpdate.
