ESP DE Web Client Login Server Alias Blank

Issue/Introduction

WADE Web Client 12.3 Installation was successful and able to launch the Web Client UI but on the Login Page the "Server Alias" is blank.

 

Environment

Release : 12.3

Component : CA WORKLOAD AUTOMATION DE (DSERIES) Web Client

Cause

Its the bug in 12.3 Web Client.

Resolution

To resolve it, go to the install directory ESPdSeriesWAWebClient_R12_3 then apache-tomcat/webapps/de/WEB-INF/lib/ directory and remove/delete the jar slf4j-log4j12-1.7.29.jar. Instead of deleting will suggest to move the jar in some other backup directory. After deleting the mentioned jar, make sure it is not present in the lib directory and then start the server. It should start as expected.
