Issue/Introduction

After running the Catalog Synchronization Utility program CADB2SY2, the last access date (ACC-DATE) and time (ACC-TIME) on thousands of LID records equal the date and time the utility ran. Is this expected behavior?

Resolution

It is expected behavior for the ACC-DATE and ACC-TIME on LID records to be updated when CADB2SY2 is ran. This is due to a need for the program to extract information from the logonid record. Even though the logonid is not actually logging on to the system, nor is it being used for system entry validation, the extract call retrieves a logonid and an ACEE control block is built. This results in the ACC-DATE and ACC-TIME being updated because the logonid is being accessed.
