The %%DLMDIPFX%%.DLMSPACE flat file gets updated once a day via %%JCLLIB%%(DLMDIJCL) and %%DSNPFX%%.SYSTSCR(DLMDISCR). This populates the EMC DLm Space Utilisation object (OBJ10780). However, my understanding is that the flat file is not being parsed properly by CA-Vantage.
To provide more background, the first iteration of DLMDIJCL for MTL03 uses a DISP=OLD to overwrite the flat file with the following DLm command:
RUNWAIT (600) 501 "QUERY SPACE" "/tapelibSYB1SY" "BFL031.FLAT"
The second iteration of DLMDIJCL for MTL04 uses a DISP=MOD to append to the flat file with the following DLm command:
RUNWAIT (600) 501 "QUERY SPACE" "/tapelibSYB1W" "BFL041.FLAT"
Effectively, the fields in the object do not seem to match the contents of the flat file. This seems to be some sort of parsing problem.
Release : 14.0
Component : CA Vantage Storage Resource Manager
The PTF that corrects this is SO08209. The following CA Vantage objects, located under Tape Resource Management
- Virtual Tape Systems - Dell/EMC DLm Virtual Tape in the CA Vantage object tree show incorrect data for DLm versions 4.n and 5.n"
