NFA stops processing trap alerts

Issue/Introduction

If you have trap alerts set up in Network Flow Analysis to send to itself (so that the traps are synced up as events to Event Manager), you may notice after a while, the alerts stop getting processed until you restart the NetQoS Reporter/Analyzer Manager Service. After a couple of days, they will stop processing again.

Cause

The trap receiver thread could run into a conflict that stops the thread without errors.

Resolution

Root cause has been found and the fix will be in the DX NetOps NFA 21.2.3 release which is slated for late August. If you need a patch for a version prior, please open a ticket with Broadcom Support.
