Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to manage SAP child jobs (JOBD) generated by SAP JOB (JOBS) which was started via Automic?

We have monthly invoice job (program and variant) schedued in Automic, once this job is started its generate 400 child jobs (JOBD) in SAP system.

We would like to know if it is possible to allow run maximum 200 child  jobs in SAP so that rest of generated child jobs are waiting in queue till some of 200 active child jobs fished

Resolution

This is not possilbe from JOBD settings side in automic. JOBD can be managed in Automic with add comments, restart,edit them, and open the list of objects in which they are being used. Controling the Execution of JOBD is not possible.

Optionnaly in case of problem  with SAP Child JOBS, their status can be changed manually to force them to a completed status.

in the following context menu you can select a status of your choice

This will force the job in AE to a specific status.  You can set it to a status of your choice, that may depend on specific dependencies

This will have no effect on SAP because the related child Job on the SAP system is surely already finished.

On the other Hand if the Child JOBS are still running, this action have no effect on the Jobs running in SAP!!
