Resolution

1. First, check if the CA products are using ENF and CAICCI. Each CA/Broadcom product documents Common Components and Services for z/OS requirements.

Here are some examples:

CA-1:
CAICCI is NOT requires for CA-1.

CA-IDMS:
The following CA Common Services for z/OS components are also used with and benefit CA IDMS:
CAICCI (Common Communication Interface)
Allows your software solutions to work together across platforms, making your software more powerful.
CAICCI optional. How you define your CA IDMS system defines how you use CAICCI.

CA-OPTIMIZER/II:
CAICCI provides a standardized and automated approach to communicating between CA Technologies products.
The routines that accomplish this communication are integrated into the CA z/OS dynamic
service code W410.
CAICCI is required only in the following situations:
If the dynamic symbolic support for CA Endevor SCM features is implemented, and
the shop has multiple CA Endevor SCM site IDs defined in separate copies of CA Endevor SCM C1DEFLTS.

CA JCLCHECK:
CAICCI is NOT requires for CA JCLCHECK.

2. Issue the following commands and report back the results. This should provide enough information to determine if anything is using ENF.

ENF APPL
ENF STATUS
ENF DISPLAY,RESOURCE

3. Check the whole ENF joblog to determine if anything is using ENF.

4. Remove CICS from CAENF if not running CA/Broadcom security products:

Specifying MODE(CICS,NONE) will prevents CAIENF/CICS from automatically installing intercepts into active CICS or as the CICS regions start. However, it will not prevent the ENF/CICS related intercept modules from being loaded into CSA. The removal of CICSREL will prevent the intercepts from being loaded into CSA.

5. Remove DB2 from CAENF if not running CA/Broadcom security products:

Specifying MODE(DB2,NONE) will prevents CAIENF/DB2 from automatically installing intercepts into active CICS or as the CICS regions start. However, it will not prevent the ENF/DB2 related intercept module from being loaded into CSA. The removal of DB2REL will prevent the intercepts from being loaded into CSA.
