Issue/Introduction

The following error messages:

EDC5139I Operation not permitted

is received when issuing the following commands:

CHGRP OMVSGRP /u/users/

CHOWN USER01 /u/users/

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Resolution

User needs to have a UID(0) which is a USS requirement and not a Top Secret requirement:

TSS ADD(USER01) UID(0)

or superuser authority:

TSS PERMIT(acid) UNIXPRIV(SUPERUSER) ACC(READ)
