Issue/Introduction

15.8 Linux Detection Server Upgrade failed

Environment

Release : 15.8, rhel 7.x, rhel 8.x 

Component : Detection Server (Rhel Install), Enforce Server (Rhel Install)

Cause

The /etc/Symantec/DataLossPrevetion/DetectionServer/installation directory was missing 

Resolution

Files or folders are missing after installing the RPMs and causing the migration to fail. Using the --replacefiles --replacepkgs resolves this issue 

1. browse to the directory where the install RPMs are located. 

2. rpm --replacepkgs --replacefiles *.rpm --force
