Issue/Introduction

A group of Resources only has the ability to see their own Projects. When they use the option to create a Projects from a Template, no templates are displayed.

Environment

Release : 15.8, 15.9

Component : CA PPM APPLICATION

Cause

When a Resource only has the ability to see their own Projects, they will be unable to see template Projects as well that were created by other users.

This is the expected result.

Resolution

There are a couple of options that may help:

1. The Resource (or Group) can be granted "Project - View" rights on the specific template Projects.

1. Access the Resource/Group that you want to assign the right to.
2. Go to the "Access Rights" for the Resource/Group, click "Instance". Click "Add"
3. In the Object list select "Project"
4. On the search screen select "Project - View" and click "Add and Continue"
5. Select the Templates, and click "Add"

2. Assign all the templates to the same OBS, and grant the Resource/Group rights to that OBS
