Device Family Search Not Working For New AdvaDev Devices

Issue/Introduction

We are experiencing an issue where the real time search in NCM family collections is not working.   We can temporarily fix the issue by restarting the SS or removing and re-adding the landscape.   However, any new devices, matching the search criteria, do not get placed in the device family.   This isn't an issue on all landscapes and appears to only be an issue with ADVADEV models:

 I removed and re-added landscape and it fixed everything up to that point, but then new models came in without families:

 

 

Environment

Release : 20.2

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

There is a race condition with the AdvaDev modeltype and using the Real Time Search setting.

Resolution

To resolve this, edit the device family and add this to the search:

DeviceType Not Equal To AdvaDev

After making the change all new Adva models will go to the respective families.
