CA Service Management - Service Desk Manager

Issue/Introduction

Attempting Install Service Desk got error message: "failed to connect to the datamart server. Please check credentials " at the bottom of installation the screen

Environment

Release : 17.1

Component : SERVICE DESK MANAGER

Cause

Issue SQL credentials are incorrect

 

Resolution

Verify that you can log into database with your credentials

If you can't log into SQL follow Create a Login to create a SQL Server login for Datamart database

use Mixed Authentication (preferred), Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication

verify that you can log into the database with your new credentials

Attempt to install Service Desk Manager again with your new credentials
