Error java.lang.NumberFormatException: CMN-0016

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to use XOG to update a number, an error is received:

 "java.lang.NumberFormatException: CMN-0016"

The value being passed is "100.02"

Environment

Release : 15.9.1

Component : CA PPM APPLICATION

Cause

The number attribute is not configured for decimals

Resolution

1. Log into Clarity and access the Administration tab

2. Go to "Objects" and view the "Attributes". Open the attribute that is providing the error.

3. The value "Decimal Places" should be defined as "2" to allow a value of 100.02 to be entered.

Please note: 

If editing a number attribute you can never reduce the number of decimal places, but you can increase it.
