Unable to run jobs from Automic to SAP agent.

Issue/Introduction

We have a user id that we use for running batch jobs in our test environment. Due to security concerns, the password was expanded from 8 to 20 characters. 

We've tested running jobs successfully using this new password in our Windows and UNIX (AIX) environments. However, with SAP it doesn't work. We're not getting any errors other than it doesn't work.

In SAP the user account is getting locked.

Cause

Dialog user password was changed in SAP and the logon and connection objects in Automic.

Resolution

The fix was done on the SAP side as the password change did not fully take effect.

In SAP from the SU01 screen, select the Longon Data tab for the userID:

Change the User Type from Dialog to System, and enter the New Password, and Repeat Password values
Click the save icon at the very top of the screen

Edit the userID again, this time changing the User Type from System back to Dialog and click on the save icon again.
