Library error after OS patching - casrvc: error while loading shared libraries: libcaconfigutils.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Issue/Introduction

When trying to start WCC or as_server or run any uni* command we have this error:

/opt/CA/SharedComponents/csutils/bin/casrvc: error while loading shared libraries: libcaconfigutils.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The library is definitely there; we do find it is 32-bit.

We tried this fix but it did not remedy the situation:

Commands unifstat, unisrvcntr and unicntrl fail with: "error while loading shared libraries: libcaconfigutils.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" (broadcom.com)

 

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Resolution

Confirm in /opt/CA a link named CAlib exists which points to /opt/CA/SharedComponents/lib.

Create it if it is missing.
