Rally User unable to log onto Rally Learning Portal using SSO

Issue/Introduction

I’ve tried registering for a new account with my corporate email but it’s saying one already exists and thus doesn’t give me any option to setup a new password just for the Rally Portal.  And when I tried to reset my password, it gives me messages such as you cannot reset your password.

Resolution

Option 1 (Try first):

  • Logout of Rally.
  • Logout of your corporate SSO.
  • Login to Rally using SSO, make sure that you're prompted for your SSO credentials.
  • Access this URL:  https://academy-classes.broadcom.com/saml/init
  • Click Login with Broadcom. 
  • This should use your SSO credentials to log you into the learning portal.

Option 2 (If Option 1 didn't work, try second):

  • When you are taken to this page:  https://academy.broadcom.com/academy-registration
  • There is a section called: SSO Users
  • Please click on that link to access the SSO login page for the Learning Portal.  Here is the direct link for that SSO login link:  https://academy-classes.broadcom.com/saml/init
  • It may also be necessary to logout and login to Rally so that your refreshed credentials are passed to the Learning Portal.
