CTSAPI26 OVERLAY CAUSING S0C4

Issue/Introduction

We have a test system I recently applied CA 1 maintenance to.   SO11771 was applied too.

 

 

The test system has gone unresponsive a few time now, with multiple s0c4s occurring in multiple tasks and the inability to signon.

Seems to point directly to CTSAPI26 code.

Resolution

The "problem" is actually the out-growth of CTSAPI26 (our catalog intercept) calling CTSQSTS. We had changed CTSAPI26 to be AMODE31 a couple of years ago. The reason we never detected it is because the only time that CTSAPI26 calls CTSQSTS was eliminated with RO92223. So, with RO92223 applied (and running TMSINIT) - the option will never be set to have CTSAPI26 call CTSQSTS anymore. So, the entire path is gone.

With RO92223, it only hits TMSINIT3 - so all you need to do is an LLA,REFRESH and run TMSINIT.
