Issue/Introduction

An IDMS CV may issue this abend message:

IDMS DC027002 V10 T1746863 SYSTEM MODULE PROGRAM CHECKED NEAR RHDCTD0D AT OFFSET 2664

The offset of 2664 is the same for r18.5 and r19.0.

 

Environment

Release: All supported releases.

Cause

This error can occur when an IDMS CICS task is cancelled from the CICS front-end. Clients should not do this. See FORCEPURGE of a CICS transaction accessing IDMS.

However, if a client does do it, this program check can result.

Resolution

By applying APAR SO11961 to r19.0 (or SO11960 in r18.5) it will provide a controlled task abend (DCxxxxxx message) rather than a program check and/or CV abend.
