DRO Line command of CTRANLOG (LGDRO) not removing records

Issue/Introduction

We are experiencing an issue with the CTRANLOG display when trying to delete older records from that logstream.

We use the DRO subcommand to the left of the records to delete, reply YES to confirm but all the older records are not deleted.

Release : 16.0

Resolution

The DRO Line command documentation may be a bit misleading in that help for the command states that the LGDRO Line command will 'Delete records older than this entry'.

 

The LGDRO command actually works against the BlockID and will attempt to delete the Blocks prior to the one where the command was issued against.

 

It cannot 'split' the blocks.
