Unable to install Migration utility on PAM SC endpoint

Issue/Introduction

Trying to install the MigrationUitlity to PAM 4.0 in a Windows or Linux PIM/PAMSC Endpoint , it complains it is unable to find the PAMSC/PIM version and it goes out

Environment

 Symantec PAM 4.0

 

Cause

The Migration Utility must be run at the ENTM PIM or PAMSC, which is where the centralized DB is located. In Linux it looks for the

/etc/EnterpriseManagement/Uninstall_EnterpriseManagement/installvariables.properties

file which will only be present in an ENTM machine

Resolution

Run MigrationUtility at your ENTM PIM/PAMSC server
