Issue/Introduction

Our CADZSAPx (SAPI) task is showing CADDnnn messages that contain RETURN and REASON codes that are not documented in the Dispatch message Guide. How can we identify the meaning of these return and reason codes?

Resolution

The Dispatch associated SAPI tasks use the SAPI interface code provided by IBM.

Details regarding the return and reason codes can be found in the most current z/OS release of the IBM manual "Using the Subsystem Interface". See the IBM documentation for return codes associated to the IEFSSREQ macro for additional information.
