Issue/Introduction

If only one LPAR has SYSPLEX active and someone updates a password on that system (only doing the Infostorage database), will that change be reflected in the ACF2 database on DASD?

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA ACF2 for z/OS

Resolution

For a change of a logonid password the INFOSTG database would only be updated if a site is using Extended Password History(GSO PSWXHIST). The GSO PSWXHIST, allows a site to extend password history support to retain more that four previous passwords. So if a site is using Extended Password History, and if only the INFOSTG database is in the CF, and a change to a logonid password is done, then the changes to the logonid database on DASD and the INFOSTG database on DASD would be done first and then the update to INFOSTG database in the CF would be done.
